William Jennings was the second son of Daniel Corley Jennings and Johanna Bray. He was born in Tuam, County Galway and baptised in Tuam Cathedral.[1] His baptismal sponsors were Francis O’Brien and Maria Jennings. Francis Bray O’Brien was the husband of William’s maternal aunt Frances Bray. He was also related to the Bray family through his mother Mary Bray. Maria Jennings, the second sponsor, may have been his aunt Anna Maria Jennings.
William contracted measles and died in March 1854 aged 6.[
