Charles was
the fourth son of Charles Jennings [abt 1780-1855] of Monaghan Street, Newry, County Down
and his wife Sophia, daughter of Patrick Corley of Clones, County Monaghan.
He was born on the 10th of October 1820 and named after his father.

He died in his tenth year on the 24th of January 1830. He
was the second of Charles’ and Sophia’s sons to die as a child.
